EV charging in Hubballi
Hubballi and Dharwad have the most usable charging between Belagavi and Davangere, almost all of it on fuel forecourts along NH-48 and P. B. Road. Find a station below.
The Hubballi–Dharwad belt has a clear and consistent charging pattern: fuel retailers own it. Shell Recharge at Pale on the old NH-4 alignment, BP at Keshwapur, Sri Sai Petroleum, Mahalaxmi Fuel Center at Tadas on NH-48 and Pawar Petroleum in Dharwad all carry public points, joined by a Tata Power 25 kW unit near Kundgol Cross on P. B. Road and ChargeZone at Hotel Panchavati in Shiggaon. What is missing is destination charging — the BRTS corridor, the Gokul Road industrial belt, Navanagar and the university campuses have very little, so a two-hour stop in the city is harder to charge through than a twenty-minute stop on the highway.
Charging stations by city in the region
Hubballi sits within Delhi NCR. If you drive across the region, these neighbouring city pages carry their own station lists: EV charging stations in Satara, EV charging stations in Kolhapur, EV charging stations in Belagavi, EV charging stations in Davangere, EV charging stations in Tumakuru.
Where to find chargers in Hubballi
Fuel stations first, and specifically the ones on NH-48 and P. B. Road. Kundgol Cross is a useful landmark for the Tata Power point. If you are coming from the Belagavi side, Shiggaon and Tadas both have chargers before you reach the city, which is worth knowing because they let you skip the urban detour entirely. Dharwad has fewer options than Hubballi. The Hubballi–Dharwad bypass has been toll-free since September 2024, so through-traffic increasingly uses it rather than the city roads.
Use the search box above to jump straight to any of these areas — Hubballi Junction, Keshwapur, Navanagar, Gokul Road and more are listed, and you can also search any address or pincode in Hubballi. Each station shows its operator, connector types, maximum power, last reported status and a directions link, so you can confirm a charger suits your vehicle before driving to it.
Charging an electric scooter or bike in Hubballi
Two-wheelers are the largest EV segment in Hubballi, and they charge differently from cars. An electric scooter draws far less power, so a standard 5A or 15A domestic socket is usually enough for an overnight charge — which is why most scooter owners rarely use public chargers at all. Where public charging matters is for riders who cannot charge where they park, and for delivery riders who need to top up mid-shift.
For those riders, three options exist in Hubballi: AC points on the map above (many work for scooters with the right connector), Ather Grid fast-charging points aimed at two-wheelers, and battery swapping from networks such as Battery Smart, Bounce and Sun Mobility, which replace a drained pack in about two minutes rather than charging it. Swapping has grown fastest among gig riders precisely because downtime costs them income. If you ride for a living, see our guide to electric scooters for delivery riders and consider a model with a removable battery.
What charging costs in Hubballi
Public charging is priced per unit of electricity. Expect roughly ₹15–25 per kWh at DC fast chargers and ₹8–15 at AC points, and note that advertised rates are usually exclusive of 18% GST — so a charger quoting ₹18/kWh actually bills around ₹21.24. Charging at home on a domestic tariff of ₹6–10 per unit is dramatically cheaper, which is why owners with home charging treat public networks as a top-up rather than a primary supply. Compare networks on our EV charging companies comparison, or model your own costs with the EV vs petrol calculator.
Driving out of Hubballi: highway corridors
Hubballi sits at roughly chainage km 405–410 on NH-48, with the bypass running km 404 to 433 through to Dharwad. Northbound towards Belagavi and the Maharashtra border, the fuel-station chargers at Tadas and Shiggaon are the dependable stops. Southbound towards Davangere is a long leg of around 145 km with little in between, so charge before leaving. NH-63 runs east towards Hospet and Ballari, where coverage is sparse.
For any intercity drive, plan the whole corridor rather than searching city by city. The EV route planner maps your route, lists every charger along it in travel order with the gap between each one, and flags any stretch longer than your vehicle's real-world range — which is the number that actually decides whether a trip is comfortable.
Owning an EV in Hubballi
Hubballi–Dharwad is north Karnataka's institutional centre, with IIT Dharwad, IIIT Dharwad, Karnatak University, the Karnataka State Law University and UAS Dharwad between them putting a large student population in the twin cities — a demographic that adopts electric two-wheelers heavily. NWKRTC has 100 PM E-Drive electric buses allocated here with a purpose-built five-acre depot inside the Gokul Road workshop, each expected to run around 220 km a day. Karnataka's EV road-tax exemption ended in April 2026 and cars now pay 5 to 10 per cent of cost by price band.
Whether public charging is a convenience or a necessity depends largely on your parking. If you can charge at home overnight, public charging becomes a top-up and road-trip tool. If you park on the street or in a shared lot, weight charger availability near home and work heavily when choosing a vehicle, and consider a two-wheeler with a removable battery if that fits your use.
Checking whether a charger actually works
Across India a meaningful share of listed public chargers are non-functional at any given time, and Hubballi is no exception — broken connectors, offline payment systems, blocked bays and unpowered units are all common. Every station on this map shows its last reported status, and EV owners can report what they find on arrival, so you see community evidence rather than only a database entry. If you use a charger here, taking a moment to report it working or not working makes the map more reliable for the next driver in Hubballi.
Thinking of setting up a charging station in Hubballi?
Charger demand in Hubballi is growing faster than supply in several pockets, which is why a growing number of enquiries we receive are from site owners rather than drivers.
