The practical habits that extend pack life are simple — charge to about 80 per cent for daily use and to full only before a long journey, avoid leaving the vehicle at very low charge for extended periods, park in shade where possible, and prefer slower AC charging when there is no time pressure. Owners who follow these see noticeably better long-term capacity than those who fast-charge to 100 per cent daily.

Check the warranty carefully before purchase, since battery cover is usually stated separately from the vehicle warranty and is typically expressed as a number of years or kilometres, whichever comes first, sometimes with a minimum state-of-health guarantee.
