Simple Energy to Unveil Its First Family Electric Scooter on September 2
The Bengaluru brand steps beyond its performance Simple One and Ultra into India's biggest two-wheeler segment — the family commuter

Simple Energy has confirmed that it will unveil its first family electric scooter on September 2, 2026, stepping beyond its performance line-up and into India's single largest two-wheeler segment — the everyday family commuter. The Bengaluru-based maker says the scooter has been developed through its own in-house research and development, and that the experience gained from building the Simple One and the recently launched Simple Ultra has shaped the new model.
What Simple Energy has confirmed
For now the company is keeping the details tightly under wraps. It has confirmed only that the scooter is aimed at everyday commuting and will combine practicality, connected technology and an accessible, user-friendly design. Full specifications, features and pricing will be announced at the official unveiling on September 2. Multiple reports peg the model's name as the Simple Arrive, a nameplate that has been spotted testing earlier in 2026, though Simple Energy itself has not formally confirmed the name yet.
Where it sits in the range
Simple Energy currently sells the Simple One (from about ₹1.84 lakh) and the Simple Ultra (₹2.34 lakh), the latter claiming a headline IDC-certified range of 400 km. Both are pitched at the premium, performance end of the market. A dedicated family scooter would slot in below these, chasing the high-volume mass-market space where the Ather Rizta, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak and Hero Vida already do the bulk of their business. If you're shopping that segment now, our guide to the best electric scooters under ₹1 lakh and the wider electric-scooter catalog are good starting points.
Why it matters
The family commuter is where the volume is — and where India's e-scooter fight is now being decided. Electric two-wheelers crossed 10% of all two-wheeler sales for the first time in June 2026, and nearly every major brand is aiming a practical family model at that demand. Simple Energy points to two differentiators for the segment: it says it is the first Indian two-wheeler maker to commercially produce heavy-rare-earth-free electric motors, and it offers a lifetime warranty on the motor and battery. The September launch also lands just days after Ather's mass-market EL01 debut on August 29, setting up a busy autumn for affordable e-scooters.
